Apogee MQ-610 Quantum PAR meter - BUNDLE

This bundle contains the following:

  • 1 x Apogee MQ-610 Quantum PAR meter
  • 1 x Official Apogee Neoprene Protective Carry Case
  • 1 x Apogee Wand (of your choice)

A high-quality, robust and effective quantum sensor for measuring light intensity levels. This sensor is recommended for professional growers and business who need to take an even wider range of measurements than the 389-692nm range offered by the MQ-500.

Many next generation LED fixtures, the sun, and other light sources emit these newly confirmed Far-red photosynthetic wavelengths, but they have not been measurable by traditional 400-700 nm PAR meters until now

Apogee are quickly becoming well known and respected in the industry for manufacturing - amongst other laboratory-grade measuring equipment - high-quality, extremely accurate horticultural lighting sensors. Whether you're a hobby grower or a large scale professional, we've got you covered with a fantastic range of Apogee Sensors to fit every grower's requirement.

The MQ-610 has a hand-held meter, attached via cable, that displays and stores measurements. The sensor features a rugged, aluminium housing that is fully-submersible and built to withstand harsh conditions. Typical applications of ePAR sensors include total ePAR intensity measurements over plant canopies in all growing environments, monitor and adjust grow lights, research plant morphogenic activity, and photobiology studies.

How is the MQ-610 different from previous Apogee sensors?

The MQ-610 is an extended photosynthetically active radiation (ePAR) sensor with a spectral range of 380 to 760 nm ± 5 nm, which can be seen in the graph below

Where is the MQ-610 used?

The MQ-610 is used for measuring the newest generation of LED grow lights with wavelengths outside the traditional 400-700 nm PAR range. Research has shown the value of adding UV and far-red LEDs to fixtures to control various diseases, achieve certain photomorphogenic effects, and even gain additional photosynthesis. The extended range filter of the MQ-610 allows it to measure photons from UV and Far-red.

The meter has a sample and log mode, and will record an integrated daily total in mol m-2 d-1. Sample mode will record up to 99 manual measurements. Log mode will power the meter on/off to make a measurement every 30 seconds. Every 30 minutes the meter will average the sixty 30 second measurements and record the averaged value to memory. The meter can store up to 99 averages, once full it will start to overwrite the oldest measurement with new ones. A Daily Light Integral will be recorded from the 48 averaged measurements (making a 24 hr period). Sample and log measurements can be reviewed on the LCD display or by downloading the data to a computer, however, the integrated daily total can only be viewed by downloading the data to a computer. Downloading data to a computer requires the AC-100 communication cable (a standard USB cable will not work) and ApogeeAMS software.

Apogee Neoprene Protective Pouch - AA-090

This Official Apogee 5" x 8" x 1" (12.7 x 20.3 x 2.5cm) zippered neoprene pouch is great for safely storing Apogee meters, microCache devices, and sensors. Water resistant.

Apogee PAR Meter Sensor Wand (AM-310)

The original, Apogee telescopic sensor wand. An easy to transport, easy to use tool for extending your sensor's reach.

This accessory incorporates a mounting fixture at the end of a telescopic wand extendable to 33 inches (84 cm) allowing the user to place Apogee sensors in hard to reach areas. The platform features two mounting holes to accommodate both our narrow and wider diameter radiation sensors. This wand is not suited for wet environments. For freshwater and saltwater use, we recommend our other wand, the AM-320.

Apogee PAR Meter Sensor Wand (AM-320)

This is a completely waterproof, screw-pole sensor wand and is the longest version available at 102cm.

This accessory incorporates a mounting fixture at the end of a 40 inch (102 cm) segmented fiberglass wand and is well-suited for fresh and saltwater use. The wand unscrews into three sections for easier storage and transport. All radiation sensors are compatible with the wand, which allows the user to place the sensor in hard to reach areas such as in aquarium tanks and greenhouses.
